Broadband Internet Connection Problems, Troubles, Complains, etcetera!

Hello Friends…

I am Mark Lester M. Mercado. Tanong ko lang, if which is better when it comes to bandwidth, throughput, or whatever consideration is maybe needed to achieve great internet speed.
I am currently connected with Bayan tel’s dynamic broadband daw, DSL kono, service! But previously, I am with PLDT my DSL.
Datapwat nung minsang na ligaw ako ng tawag sa Bayan tell, at naka-usap ang kanilang napakagaling na Marketing & sales supervisor, she told me that they can offer to me a better service daw! She said that with the price of only 899 pesos, they can provide speed of up to 768 KBPS! Hmm! twice the speed ha! Which is to me, the best, the biggest, & the greatest baloney statement of all human history! I am quite familiar with dynamic & static internet connection: however, can anyone teach me the difference between point to point protocol over Ethernet (PPPOE), which is the connection method use by Bayan tel, & transmission control protocol-internet protocol (TCPIP), which is the connection system employ by PLDT… because with Bayan tel’s advertised & promised speed of up to 768 Kilobits per second, I can only get a minimum transfer rate of at least 72 KBPS& less! However, with PLDT’s advertised & promised alacrity of only 384 Kilobits per second, I was able to experienced maximum transfer rate speed of up to 156 Kilobits per second.
ANO BA YAN!!! Kung sino pa yong masmababa ang pinangakong bilis, eh sha pa ngayon itong nakapagbibigay ng higher na transfer rate!
I even want to share to you the letter of appeal that I wrote to
him dated April 30, 2008

“To: Mister Roberto W. Suzon,
Business Area Head,
PLDT- Maratel Incorporated
Iligan City.

Dear Sir:

First, please allow me to ask of your exculpation and exoneration for I have not been able to find the right word other than THANK YOU! For allowing us to test and try the toughness of your PLDT broadband/DSL service.
I wrote this letter to you in behalf of our family to plead an appeal in your good office that we prefer to discontinue our subscription in this very gigantic company for the following reasons:
First and foremost, based on our cautious and vigilant observation, the PLDT Company does not meet its promised in this 999 peso package with burst speed of up to 384 kilobits per second downstream. Second, for the period of our almost 2 month’s duration of subscription, several times that we experienced from sporadic and intermittent, to an unambiguous and unequivocal lost in connection. And last, we found out that there are companies offering similar or perchance, even greater service, at a bit cheaper in price. , to also help us facilitate in utilizing and making the most of our monthly subscription expenditures a bit lesser, even just a fraction of its actual present cost…
Hoping and believing in your contemplation and kindest consideration.

Respectfully and Sincerely Yours,

Mark Lester M. Mercado“
